Visualize in real time the position of the Cetus constellation in the sky.
General presentation
Cetus is one of the largest constellations in the sky. Visible mainly in autumn in the northern hemisphere, it is located near the constellations of Pisces, Aries and Eridanus. The constellation is known for hosting Mira, a famous variable star whose luminosity changes dramatically over the months.
Shape of the Cetus constellation
Cetus has a vast and irregular shape that evokes a large elongated marine animal. Its stars draw an extended body ending in a head and a long tail. Although the complete silhouette requires a bit of imagination, several groups of stars make it possible to distinguish the different parts of the sea monster, making Cetus one of the greatest figures in the sky.
